Philadelphia to Denver Freight Broker
Philadelphia paper distributor looking for alternate shipping options on loads to Denver, CO.
Problem: A Philadelphia, PA paper distributor needed to move loads to Denver, Colorado. The loads contained palletized freight, and the receiver in Colorado, although authorized to receive palletized freight, could only unload flatbed trucks. The client ran into difficulty finding flatbeds that could transport palletized freight material from Pennsylvania to Colorado and called on Direct Drive Logistics to develop a creative resolution.
Solution: Unable to locate flatbed carriers for the cross-country shipment, Direct Drive logistics instead found vans able to ship these loads and deliver them to a local warehouse/trucking company that had both dock height and flatbed capability. This local trucking company then loaded the materials on a flatbed and delivered them to the customer, located in close proximity to the flatbed provider.
Outcome: Direct Drive Logistics provided a workable solution for the customer, focused on safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. At no point in the conversation with our customer did Direct Drive employees ever say “we can’t” or “we don’t,” but instead focused on creative problem-solving that addressed the customer’s immediate transportation needs. Since then, Direct Drive continued to ship these types of loads safely and without incident, building a relationship with the customer that was based on trust and an optimistic, can-do approach to business.
